A Job Fair is an event where companies and job seekers meet face-to-face to discuss job, career, apprenticeship and training opportunities, among others.

Companies attend to promote their opportunities, meet potential candidates and answer questions.

For candidates, it’s a great opportunity to discover opportunities, meet employers in person, make a great first impression and potentially secure interviews or job offers.

Our Job Fairs bring together multiple companies and job seekers in one location on one day.

You can visit stands, find out about available opportunities, ask questions and speak directly with recruiters and hiring teams.

Many companies accept CVs on the day, promote their current opportunities and may arrange interviews with suitable candidates.

It’s your opportunity to get away from online applications and speak to employers face-to-face.

Possibly!

Some companies may offer interviews on the day if they’re actively recruiting and think you’re a good match for one of their vacancies.

However, this isn’t guaranteed. Many companies use Job Fairs to meet candidates, collect CVs and identify potential applicants before arranging interviews at a later date.

Every Job Fair is different, so the organisations attending will vary between locations and dates.

We host Job Fairs in locations across the UK.

Our Job Fairs generally run from 10am until 1pm, unless otherwise stated on the individual event page.

You don’t have to arrive exactly at 10am. You can arrive at any point during the advertised opening hours.

We use a wide variety of venues across the UK, including:

• Football stadiums
• Rugby stadiums
• Hotels
• Town halls
• Guildhalls
• Conference centres
• Music and entertainment venues

The individual event page will show you the venue and details for that particular Job Fair.

Our Job Fairs are open to people aged 16+ who are looking to explore employment, training and career opportunities.

Attendance is free, but you will need to get a ticket for the event you want to attend.

Our events are for genuine candidates and job seekers. Visitors cannot attend for the purpose of selling products or services to exhibitors.

Yes. Our Job Fairs are completely free for candidates to attend.

You simply need to get a free ticket for the event you want to attend.

Find the Job Fair you want to attend and click Get Ticket on the event tile.

This will take you to the dedicated page for that event.

Click Get Ticket again on the event page and an Eventbrite ticket modal will open directly on the page, allowing you to quickly get your free ticket.

You don’t need to leave our website and visit the Eventbrite website to register.

No. You can get your free ticket through the Eventbrite module that opens directly on the event page.

You don’t need to leave our website to complete the ticket process.

Clicking Get Ticket on an event tile takes you to the page for that particular Job Fair.

Click Get Ticket again on the event page and the Eventbrite ticket module will open directly on the page, allowing you to get your ticket without leaving our website.

Yes. We recommend getting your free ticket before attending the Job Fair.

It only takes a few moments and helps us manage attendance for each event.

Once you’ve completed your registration, your ticket and booking confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided.

Check the email address you used when registering, including your junk or spam folder.

Your Eventbrite confirmation email should contain your ticket details.

Yes.

You’re welcome to attend as many of our Job Fairs as you like. Simply get a separate free ticket for each event you would like to attend.

We recommend bringing several copies of an up-to-date CV.

You’ll be meeting multiple employers, so having enough copies means you can leave your CV with any companies you’re interested in.

It’s also a good idea to have your ticket available on your phone when you arrive.

We recommend smart casual clothing.

You don’t necessarily need to wear a suit, but remember that you could be meeting your next employer.

Treat the event as an opportunity to make a good first impression.

Don’t worry – plenty of people attending will be visiting a Job Fair for the first time.

Before attending, we’d recommend:

• Updating your CV
• Bringing several printed copies
• Thinking about the types of jobs you’re interested in
• Dressing smartly
• Giving yourself plenty of time at the event

Have a walk around, speak to different organisations and keep an open mind.

Each Job Fair has its own event page containing information about that particular event, including the date, time, venue and other useful information.

You can also get your free ticket directly from the event page.

Have your free ticket available when you arrive.

Once you’re inside, you’re free to walk around the event, visit the different stands and speak directly with the organisations that interest you.

No.

You can arrive at any point during the advertised opening hours.

However, we recommend giving yourself plenty of time to explore the event and speak to the companies you’re interested in.

There’s no set amount of time.

Some candidates may spend 30 – 45 minutes at the event, while others may stay much longer speaking with different stands.

Give yourself enough time so you don’t feel rushed.

Yes – and we’d encourage you to bring several copies.

Many companies will be happy to take your CV if you’re interested in their opportunities.

Don’t be afraid to start a conversation.

You could ask:

• What vacancies do you currently have?
• What type of candidates are you looking for?
• What experience or qualifications do I need?
• Do you offer training?
• How do I apply?
• What is it like working for your organisation?
• Are there opportunities for career progression?

You don’t need to make it complicated. Simply introducing yourself and asking “What opportunities do you currently have?” is a great place to start.

Still speak to the companies that interest you.

They may have upcoming opportunities that haven’t been advertised yet, or they may be able to tell you about other opportunities within their organisation.

One of the biggest advantages of a Job Fair is making connections with companies rather than relying solely on advertised vacancies.

Absolutely.

You don’t need to be unemployed to attend a Job Fair.

If you’re considering changing jobs, looking for career progression, exploring a different industry or simply seeing what’s available locally, you’re welcome to attend.

Yes. Anyone aged 16+ is welcome.

Our events can be particularly useful if you’re exploring your first job, apprenticeship, training opportunity or future career options.

Yes.

Many of our events include organisations promoting apprenticeships, training and early-career opportunities alongside traditional job vacancies.

Yes. You’re welcome to attend with a friend, family member or somebody supporting you.

We recommend that anyone attending with you also gets their own free ticket.

No.

You’re free to arrive and leave whenever you like during the advertised opening hours.

We recommend allowing yourself enough time to explore the event and speak with several employers.

If you’ve spoken to a company you’re particularly interested in, follow any application instructions they gave you.

Where appropriate, you could also follow up with the company afterwards and mention that you met their team at the Job Fair.

Don’t assume that handing over your CV automatically counts as an application. If a company asks you to apply formally afterwards, make sure you do.

That’s completely normal.

Meeting you at the Job Fair gives the company an opportunity to put a person to the application, but many organisations still require candidates to complete their normal online recruitment process.

Make sure you follow the instructions they give you.

Don’t be discouraged.

Attending a Job Fair isn’t just about walking out with a job offer. You may discover employers you didn’t previously know about, learn about upcoming vacancies, make useful contacts or find a completely different career direction.
